Catholic School Week
Dear Parents and Families,
Next week our school will be celebrating ‘Catholic Schools Week’, which takes place from 27th January to 3rd February 2019. This annual celebration of Catholic education gives us all the opportunity to be more aware of the unique contribution that our Catholic schools make to Irish life. Our theme this year is Catholic Schools: Celebrating the Work of Our Local Catholic Schools. The programme invites us to reflect on the unique contribution of our Catholic schools to our collective goal of Education.
Every day this week, we take time to think about how St. Michael’s works towards a vision that each student as made in the likeness and image of God.
The daily themes are:
Monday: Living Tradition
Tuesday: Welcoming Diversity
Wednesday: Grandparents Day
Thursday: In service of our community
Friday: Supporting Faith.
We know that, just like us, schools all over Ireland are celebrating this special week. During this week the pupils, staff, parents, grandparents, members of boards and the people of the Parish will show, in lots of different ways, that they are proud of their Catholic school.
It is good to celebrate who we are and what we do.

Religion Co-Ordinator.
