A big thank you to Roisin (Christopher’s mummy) for recommending our school trip to Minnowburn and many thanks to the National Trust staff who met us there. We had a fantastic morning. Everyone, including parents and teachers, had the opportunity to take part in a range of outdoor activities including foraging, den building and pond dipping. We were lucky to have good weather and it was a real treat to see the fabulous display of bluebells in the woods. The children gain so much from being outdoors and experiencing nature, learning about plants and animals, caring for their environment, problem solving, team work and best of all, just being out in the fresh air and free to run around.
Many thanks to the parents who accompanied us …we hope you enjoyed your morning too!
