What another busy few weeks we have had in Primary one!
We had a brilliant morning at Streamvale Farm. We loved looking and learning about all the animals, petting and feeding the baby animals and visiting the milking parlour. Thank you to all the parent helpers for giving up your time to come along with us!
We have loved our ‘Farm’ topic and our related play activities. We especially enjoyed using vegetables to make ‘Potato Men and Women’.
After listening to the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man’, we made our own Gingerbread Men. We especially loved decorating and eating them. Yummy!!
We are trying to use our school grounds more in our learning. We enjoyed doing some pond-dipping and investigating the contents of our pond using magnifying glasses. We found lots of tadpoles and completed some work on the life cycle of a frog.
After listening to the story of ‘We’re going on an egg hunt’ we went on our own egg hunt around the school grounds. We all managed to find the ten eggs and loved munching on our chocolatey reward! It was ‘egg-cellent’!
Happy Easter everyone!!
